Duncan McCallum
President and owner, Duncan began his graphic arts training in high school in Ann Arbor, MI and later earned his Bachelor of Science in Printing Management/Marketing from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI. Duncan's educational training culminated in 1991 earning an MBA from San Francisco State University.
Duncan worked for 5 years with Braun-Brumfield (now Sheridan Books) of Ann Arbor, MI in a variety of positions including Estimating Manager and New York City area sales. He moved to the Bay Area in 1985 working as an independent manufacturer’s representative for Braun and Old Dominion Box Company.
In 1995, Duncan formed Spectrum Books, Inc, a direct book manufacturer’s representative company. The company diversified from domestic black and white manufacturing to domestic and overseas black and white and full color manufacturing services. Today, the company services 100+ clients in the western United States.
Ronda Fleming
Ronda comes to Spectrum Books with 36 years of experience and education in the printing industry. After graduating from California Polytechnic State University with a BS in Graphic Communications, Ronda spent 16 years as a graphic designer/production artist. For the last 20 years she has been a sales representative serving clients in Northern California with their domestic and overseas printing needs. Ronda represents the Spectrum Printing division and handles a variety of commercial printing projects ranging from specialty books to brochures, calendars and packaging.
Sandy Hernandez
As a graduate of California Polytechnic State University with a degree in Graphic Communications, Sandy has worked in several areas of the printing industry. Starting as an estimator for a large commercial printer, Sandy then moved to account management for a US sales office representing an overseas printing firm. In addition to successfully increasing sales for other Southern and Northern California printing companies, Sandy experienced the client side of things by working for a marketing agency. Having the value of seeing the process from a customer’s perspective has proven to be an advantage with the details and challenges that occur in printing management. Sandy currently handles project management as well as new accounts for independent publishers at Spectrum Books.
